Ruleset Policy

Welcome to the Kingdom of Feyrith! We pride ourselves at delivering prime quality roleplay and realism. A server where you can fully immerse yourself in the world of Life is Feudal. A place where you can experience and live in the middle-ages in real time. As we are a Roleplaying Community, it is mandated that you act accordingly, and follow the rules. Failure to comply will result in expulsion from our community.

!You are In-Character at all times!

The ruleset must be followed accordingly, failure to do so will result in removal from the server. Important notice: The server's rules are subject to change and addition, it is important that you keep yourself up to date on the current state of the ruleset policy.

BasilMod Pack

BasilMod Pack is in use on this server. Every player MUST download and install it via our webpage or the LIF forum and follow the steps to make it working. It has a lot of cool scripts such as BattleGrounds, Safezone, seeing Royal Titles on player list, claiming lots of building that can not be claimed originally such as shops and Keeps and the claim time is four Real Life days etc.  Plus, lots of great features  and mods are on the way.

*Attention* make sure your firewall or antivirus program lets basilmod communicate with the server*

Having a hard time getting BasilMod to work take contact with a GM * kingdomoffeyrith@gmail.com *

Maturity

As much as we do care for our members, we cannot look after you all the time, this is not a kindergarden, or your school's playground. Use your common sense and behave according to the ruleset given.

Courtesy

Improper language use, trolling, bullying and insulting in global chat channel in a way that is not in the spirit of roleplay is not allowed. This courtesy extends to TeamSpeak, players should be respectful to each other on the TeamSpeak servers, and should not use TeamSpeak channels to troll guilds or otherwise distract them during combat. Out of character personal attacks in global and on TeamSpeak are against the rules.

Absence

If you expect to be offline for more than a few days, please notify an the leadership of your guild, alternatively server moderators. If you perform a certain profession, it is important you make your suspected/expected absence known to those around you. As their progression might stall if you suddenly were to disappear! Remember that you fulfill a role within the game world, and that others depend on you.

Spamming

Spamming is unacceptable behaviour that is highly frowned upon. You will get a warning, if not heeded you will be removed from the server.

Character Limit

One character is allowed per player.

Known performance issues & bugs

Roots and stumps from cut down trees have been reported to cause performance issues, it is mandatory that you remove these after cutting down a tree!

Mining

Mining is permitted in the unsettled areas, however it’s totally forbidden on other faction’s claim areas. If you seek to mine a deposit in the capital's county, you must request permission from the capital's council before proceeding. Mining on other factions claim area is totally forbidden.

Tree walls

Tree walls are expressly forbidden, if we find this it will result in an instantaneous ban without prejudice as this is an exploit. Exploitation of any kind will result in an instant, permanent ban from the server. *Example planting Oaks on each side of a stonewall in a row without any space OR planting Oaks 2x2 / 4x4 or more in squres in a way that no one can pass thrue.

Exploits

All kinds of exploits for example set loggs in a way that would not be possible in IRL, the laws of gravity applies on our server at all times 24/7. if noticed or you belive someone is using exploits, take printscreens and send it in to a GM

Who and How to Contact

Moderators view all reports of misconduct seriously, please be respectful towards the moderators and remember that they are only human. Any reports that contains evidence, such as printscreens or a video, will be resolved faster than without.

If there are any questions regarding armour capacity and limitations, please contact the staff either by email at our home page, or by email at kingdomoffeyrith@gmail.com. Alternatively you may try to reach us on our Teamspeak server: 62.104.20.118:10006.

RolePlay Rules

When to RP and when not to This is a Roleplay specific server, and thus Roleplay should be maintained at all times.

HERE IS A LITTLE HELP ABOUT RP: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=554972410

Unprovoked Fighting

Randomly killing (Random Death Match, RDM) or attacking people without providing the chance of avoiding this by roleplay will lead to quick exclusion from our community.

If we catch people putting their armor on seconds before a fight starts because of this rule harsh punishment will follow.

Realism is a key part to our community. Imagine this world, being the real world, you are a human being, with human limits and must act accordingly.

As realism plays a big part in the immersion of the server's setting, constantly walking around in a plate suit of armour does not make a lot of sense. If you've ever worn a real suit of armour in real life, you know how this would feel like. Crushingly heavy and excruciating. Do not wear your heavy armours without appropriate reasoning to; remember that you are performing a role in a roleplaying community where realism is a key component. (TL;DR: You are physically unable to run around in a suit of armour weighing in at 250kg's you are not Superman!) *ATT* one more example, going in to a lake or the ocean with a armor that makes your weight to high, will be your death nothing else, IF this happen, DOES not give you the right to demand your things back from a GM and will be at all times ignored. ALWAYS try to remember Life aint easy, Life is feudal!

Wear armour and clothing according to your character's duties. Exceptions are men and women whos job is to stand guard. They are at standstill, thus wearing a weighted suit of armour makes sense. (Running endlessly around does not!)

Also as this is a Kingdom and we have a King and Queen and future Land Lords etc. All players must adress anyone higher than them in a CORRECT way. Here’s a little help: https://www.wikihow.com/Sample/British-Nobility-Titles

Chat should be kept In-Character (IC) at all times. Acceptable exceptions would be for announcements in the Global chat, but must be either marked in brackets ( example ) and OOC infront of message. These OOC messages are usually reserved for staff, and will be kept to a minimum. (Access the Teamspeak for OOC discussions, not in game as it breaks the immersion we're trying to achieve.) Tip: Send crows, ravens, doves or why not a owl to get you messiges around the realm.

Important: Local Chat is to be kept IC at all times.

Naming Policy

As our goal for this server is to create an immersive roleplaying experience, your character must be named according to the time period the game is set in. This means no contemporary references to pop culture names, or historical figures. (I.e; No names such as "Squeaky Squigglebutts McSnufflepuff" or "Mahatma Ghandi".) Your name should not contain any titles either, as all titles are granted in game.

Meta-Gaming

Meta-Gaming is when you know things about the world that your character has no way of knowing and you still exploit that knowledge. Since this has no RP basis, it’s against our policy, and will result in a warning/removal, depending on the situation.

Drama

Any character who continually stirs up arguments, flaming, and any other sort of unrest OOC will first be given a warning, and a potential consequence will follow in kind.

Bannable Offenses

- Fleeing into water.

- Yielding/surrendering people may not be killed, without a very clear and explicit reason.

- Engaging in spawn-camping or spawn-killing.

- Do not loiter around while looting a gravestone or a yielding character, this will be seen as spawn camping.

- If you manage to knock your target unconcious, do not persist this action if the player has no way of counter acting this.

- Raiding or robbing a character more than once every two (real life) hours. If you have robbed or raided someone within 2 hours and your other guild members go out to raid the same character, you are not allowed to join them.

Sidenotes regarding PvP

- Do not shoot or attack through walls, this is considered an exploit of the game's mechanics.

- If you have been robbed or raided, leaving your guild claim will reset the 2-hour window and the culprits may yet again raid or rob you.

- Shield bashing is only allowed twice in a battle, no matter the target. If you have a shield, you may only use the shield bashing ability twice in the same feud.

- Do not kill new players on the server without a valid reason that can be proven with a video or image. A player is new in a week from the first character is created on the server.

from the first character is created on the server.

- If you wish to use “human ladders” to gain entry to a base, then that “ladder” must not be higher than two people.

- Abandoned settlements and housings are free to claim, but the former occupants may take them back from you.

IMPORTANT: Combat-logging, loging out while still in combat, is not allowed!

War Rules

If you are to wage war against another faction, you must have a Casus Belli. Otherwise your declaration of war is not a legitimate. Thus a moderatory reaction will be invoked, in other words you will most likely be removed from the server. (Casus Belli: An act or event that provokes or is used to justify war.)

Raids and ambushing: Although no prior notice need be given when raiding another guild, or ambushing other players, a good (RolePlay) reason MUST be given.

To wage a war or 'peasant' revolt: Prior to Any attack a 7 day notice MUST be given, (to allow the other guild/settlements/capital to prepare for a 'weekend' siege). The reason for War must be a good (RP) reason or fair cause, this 'Casus Belli', should be handed to the King and his court for approval. War can be waged against other guilds as well as the capital.

When waging a war, the a 'WAR TAX' must be paid by the aggressor, this ' tax ' will depend upon the size of the guilds involved. War can be either waged as a (weekend) siege, or on a predetermined 'battlefield' in the realm. If the battlefield option is proposed and one side refuse to take to the field, then a siege may be implemented immediately. third and last option is to wage a war and propose a battle is to have the battle on BasilMod Battleground, can be activated/deactivated at anytime on our server. same rule here  one side refuse to take it to the field, then a siege may be implemented immediately.

During a battle should a player ‘die’ they may NOT return to the battlefield should they do this, they will immediately forfeit the War to the opposing side.

Building Rules

Your guild name set will be the name set as your future village or town name.

If you do not heed this, your faction will not be considered for addition to the world map.

IMPORTANT: Villages in the mountains are permitted only to Tier 1 Monument. If upgraded beyond Tier 1, your monument will be downgraded without warning. Persistant refusal to heed this rule will result in a ban.

No Monument, 1-5 Dwellers with no titles =  Homestead

Monument Tier 1-2 with 1-5 Dwellers, no titles = Hamlet

Monument Tier 2 with 5-10 Dwellers & 1 "Leader" = Village

Monument Tier 3 with 10 or more Dwellers & 1  "Leader" = Town

Monument Tier 4 with 12 or more Dwellers & "Leader" = Town/Regional City (Requires approval from the Royal Court.)*

*Tier 4 monuments comes with the title of Baron/Duke, the title holder becomes a vassal of the King, and region owner. I.e, the Baron/Duke may demand taxes from his region's citizens, and will also be required to pay tax to the Kingdom itself*

Region owners have the right to demand taxes from their region.
